Facilitating Family Impact Small Groups ... is fun!

"We have two weeks left of the Let's Talk Teens class. It is going GREAT! The first few weeks some of the parents were skeptical that these techniques would work with their child. It was great to hear them come back the next week and say, "I tried it and it really works!
Last night after the chapter, "What Will I Do With Tough Issues", each parent got a Caribou Coffee gift card loaded for about two drinks. Their homework was to make time this weekend and have a mocha or hot chocolate with their teen --- and listen! This was to use the active listening techniques and make sure their teen knows they are valued and heard. The homework was well received!
